Masa Israel Teaching Fellows (MITF) is a partnership between Masa Israel Journey and the Ministry of Education, offering a uniquely transformative Israel experience. It is a 10-month fellowship for college graduates who want to make a difference. Fellows contribute to the future success of Israeli children by giving them the basis of native-spoken English. The fellows teach English while immersing themselves in Israeli society and become integral members of the cities in which they live, teach and volunteer.
The Melton Centre of Jewish Education, a partner of Masa Israel Teaching Fellows, offers a unique opportunity for MITF participants and alumni to earn the International M.A. in Education, Master’s Blended Program Specializing in Jewish Education concurrently with their teaching fellowship (or after their fellowship is completed).
Fellows may take our online courses during their year of teaching in Israel and attend the two-week summer seminar in Jerusalem upon the conclusion of their fellowship. This program provides fellows with the unique opportunity to live in Israel, teach, and complete their M.A. degree at one of the top hundred universities in the world, all within one or two years.
